DIY Fire Tables With Glass
This DIY fire table was built by our customer Jim. It will be fueled by a propane tank, so the base of the table will serve as a housing unit to discreetly conceal the tank.
We supplied the burner and glass but Jim did the rest in his garage, great job!
Jim used 7 lbs of crushed lava as a base fill, 6 lbs of Bronze Base Glass, 1 lb of Starfire Base Glass and 3 lbs of Amber Base Glass. We can help you design or even build your fire table as well. just ask!
The next DIY table was built by a customer in La Jolla California. The table was 30" x 60" with a 24" x 54" fire pit area. There even going to make their own granite top.
Michael built this awesome DIY propane fire table with a tree trunk base. Below the propane Valve and air mixer are installed below the table top; allowing for easy access while keeping it out of sight.
A 10" Stainless Steel Center-less ring surrounds his unique rock center piece which sits a-top our crushed lava rock.
Check out Michael's website to see more of his custom work.
The next fire pit was designed by and built for Kevin Leys of Chicago. He did a great job and you decide. First he started with a single wall construction fire box with a pan on the top.
Then it was framed for exterior plywood or you could use metal studs and wonder board. The gas valve was located to the outer framed wall.
This is a natural gas fire pit. It was tested as soon as it turned dark, fun! Now we add the crushed lava rock and glass over that. There are many sub materials you can use as a filler. Just ask.
Great back yard by the way!
Now we start to apply the tile for the finishing touch.
Our client Mike Andrus designed this great custom fire table with our help. Fueled by natural gas, Mike used a quick disconnect hose to bring his gas out to his table.
One of the fire tables most distinguishing features was its beautiful mosaic base.
The right-hand side picture shows the 22" inch stainless steel bowl and accompanying 18" double stainless steel burner ring.
The media used was Scarlett Topper Fire Crystals Topper and Turquoise Topping.
The following pictures begin with a custom metal cut-out and a DIY (Do It Yourself) fire table. Follow along as the pictures tell the step by step story.
The metal shape is produced using a water jet cutter, providing a smooth sleek finish. We then pour some white Starfire Base Glass around it, and test 2 different color reds, Coral Red Topping and Roma Red Topper
The fire pit below was a DIY project in San Francisco California.
A local artist made the glass inlay top. Very cool!
